Pomeranian Way of St. James
We started celebrating on Thursday, 25th July. The 1st International Pilgrimage of St. James set off from Gdańsk within “RECReate - re-vitalisation of the European Culture Route” project. Some vehicles were consecrated and the “Peace Marsh” to the Sanctuary of St. James which started in front of the chapel of Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession took place. Numerous residents of Lębork and its visitors participated there in the ecumenical service and prayer with Taize songs. During the meetings the participants honoured all those who died during railway catastrophe near Santiago de Compostela. Pomeranian Way of St. James
Marking works of the Pomeranian Way of St. James set off. First in Szczecin, then gradually all along the route. The works are scheduled to last until November 2013. Yellow scallop shell with blue background - symbol of the route will be presented in painted form, on boards and road signs along 630 km of St. James’s ways within the West Pomerania Province. A group of cyclists (including a year-old-baby) with passports and the guidebook set off for a tour along the reconstructed Pomeranian Way of St. James on Monday 22nd July 2013 at 12:00. They will be travelling by Saturday 27th July - and share their impressions during St. James’s Fair in Szczecin. More...

Pomeranian Way of St. James
A guidebook of the Pomeranian Way of St. James and a passport have been prepared and published in Polish. Wider access to the guidebook is anticipated for October. Particular stages are currently described in “the route track” part. Works related to translating the guidebook into English, German and Lithuanian are currently in progress. Pilgrim’s passports will though be gradually made available at selected places along the route and the wanderers will be able to collect commemorative stamps in them. More...

Works on marking of the Pomeranian Way of St. James within the Pomeranian Province are in progress. No later than in the second half of July the six fully marked stages of the Way (from Gdańsk Sobieszewo to Łeba) will become available to you.
