Lowland Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK) Guides' Rally visited Lębork
The 17th National Lowland Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK) Guides' Rally took place between 19th-21st April this year in Łeba, Lębork and within the area of Lębork district. There were 60 participants of the Rally. The guides who wisited Pomerania came among others from Pszczyna, Łowicz, Katowice and Warsaw. Participants of the Rally walked along a section of the Pomeranian Way of St. James and got familiar with the RECReate project implemented by Lębork town.
“RECReate - re-vitalisation of the European Culture Route in the South Baltic Area” programme was presented on the first day of the Rally. It was desrcibed by Elżbieta Rekowska-Klassa - the Chief of Promotion and Culture Department of the Town Hall in Lębork. The guides received some information materials about the Way of St. James and Lębork prepared by the Promotion and Culture Department.
The Rally was also participated by Stanisław Sikora, Vice-President of the PTTK Management Board and Barbara Ząbczyk-Chmielewska - Head of the Association of Pomeranian Guides PTTK (Pomorska Federacja Przewodnicka PTTK). The guides ensured that in future they will come back here with their groups, trips.
On 21st April the participants of the Rally visited Lębork and its medieval fortifications, towers, Sanctuary of St. James the Apostle and they watched a 3d film about former fortified system of Lębork.
